Personal and Household Hygiene

Our personal hygiene as well as our household hygiene can significantly affect our health. For that reason, taking care of both of those, especially at these times is crucial.

Personal Hygiene

Taking care of your personal hygiene has always been important. However, now more than ever, it’s important that we take care of our health. Personal hygiene being a part of health care, should be your number one priority right now.

Face

Making sure that your face is clean and hydrated at all times is very important. The skin is the biggest organ of the body and just like the rest of your body your face deserves all the love and care it could get. Introducing an effective skincare routine that will keep your skin healthy and glowing is very important. A very minimal skincare routine is enough for you to keep your skin healthy. All you need is a good cleanser, moisturiser, and an SPF cream. Also, make sure to look for products that are fragrance-free.

Hands and Nails

What you should take care of next are your hands and nails. The pandemic we are currently experiencing puts us in a place where we constantly have to take care of our hygiene. The huge part of it is keeping our hands clean and sanitized. That is why you need to be extra careful of how you wash your hands.

Make sure you clean your hands before and after handling food, after going out, and as soon as you come back home. Make sure you are using warm water and wash your hands for at least 20 seconds. Try to get as many corners and in-between your fingers too. Making sure that the parts under your nails are clean is important too. In case you are out and don’t have access to water right this second, make sure to carry a hand sanitizer with you all the time.

Dental Hygiene

The health of your teeth is also very important. First and foremost, you need to brush and floss your teeth every day. Make sure to brush your teeth in the morning and night, and you can also brush or floss them in-between your daily meals. Get your dental check-ups regularly so that you can spot a potential issue before it becomes too big.

Body

Throughout the day your body collects piles of bacteria, dirt, and sweat. That’s why at the end of the day, you need to give your body a good scrub. By doing so, you are removing all of the layers of bacteria that have piled up during the day. By simply washing your body, you are preventing possible irritation and infections from catching on the surface of your skin. Make sure to wash yourself with lukewarm water and properly moisturise afterwards. Every once in a while use a body scrub to remove the dead skin cells that need to be removed to keep your skin healthy.

Hair

Lastly, taking care of your hair is also a crucial part of the personal hygiene. Making sure that your hair and scalp are healthy and hydrated is very important. Based on the type of the hair you have, you should purchase an appropriate shampoo, hair mask, oil, and other nutrient-providing products that will help your hair stay healthy. If you blow dry your hair regularly or use any other heating tools on your hair, make sure to use a heat protector.

Household Hygiene

The area you live in also needs to be clean and hygienic. Bacteria can pretty much pile up on any surface area. Once you touch those surfaces with your hands, the bacteria transfers on to you. For that reason, keeping your surroundings clean is crucial for your own health too.

Bathroom

All the steam and moist that circulates in the bathroom at all times creates a suitable environment for all kinds of bacteria and germs to spread around. This steam gets on the walls, toothbrushes, towels, etc. That’s why it’s important to clean your bathroom regularly. Also, another great way to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria in the bathroom is to switch from using towels to high-quality commercial hand dryers. These are super convenient and are definitely more hygienic than towels.

Kitchen

The second room in your house that may have issues with bacteria and germs is kitchen. The places where the percentage of bacteria is the highest are the sink and fridge. Make sure to clean your fridge and sink regularly and thoroughly.

Conclusion

All in all, as long as you take care of yourself and your living area you will have nothing to worry about.
